Data Privacy Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a thoughtful, thorough and experienced Data Privacy Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be developing customized data privacy solutions and strategies to address privacy gaps and ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations and leading the implementation of privacy programs for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in privacy program management, thorough understanding of data protection principles and solutions, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping organizations protect their data.
Please note: HONOS is a growing startup dedicated to data privacy and data protection solutions. We are currently building our team on a contract basis, initially six (6) months. So please, carefully consider if a contract role works for you right now.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their privacy needs, goals, and objectives.
- Develop and implement customized privacy programs tailored to each client’s unique requirements.
- Conduct privacy assessments, gap analyses, and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on privacy policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Deliver training sessions and workshops to educate client stakeholders on privacy principles and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate privacy program effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering support and guidance on privacy-related matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, Privacy, Political Science or other related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in privacy management, with a strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations.
- CIPP or CIPM certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver results.
- Remote work environment however some travel required for on-site client visits/ work as needed.
